The preservation of a piano in its optimal state requires a careful maintenance, consisting of various types of interventions according to the condition in which the instrument lies. ZANTA Pianoforti offers to its customers a meticulous, careful and professional piano tuning service.

Tuning is an intervention that can be defined as “basic”, and it is good practice to perform it once a year, and depending on the use of the instrument and the environmental conditions to which it is exposed it might be necessary to tune the piano even more than once during the year.
Tuning consists in physically adjusting the tensions of the strings in order to obtain a specific frequency with a regular and balanced sound.

The ordinary maintenance of a piano consists of a series of interventions that are necessary in order to restore the optimal status of an instrument.
It is usually performed by controlling the mechanical block of the piano and performing the adjustments required to restore the precision of the instrument, or by replacing the keyboard’s felts. If necessary, we can also perform the rubbing of the hammers in order to extend the life of the instrument.

Another important intervention is the regulation of the density of the hammers’ felts in order to define the piano’s timbre.
